If you haven’t picked up Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars yet, Rockstar seems to suddenly care about you. The blockbuster game studio is giving you a chance to try it for free on your iPod touch or iPhone. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars Lite is now available for download through the Apple App Store.
Chinatown Wars Lite is a trial version of the open-world sandbox crime game, which brought in rave reviews and much adulation from critics and gamers alike. The life version of the game allows you to play the first three missions and gives you just enough of a taste of carjacking, gunfights, and high-speed chases now synonymous with the Grand Theft Auto experience.
Chinatown was released for the iPod Touch and iPhone in January – and on the DS and PSP well before that – so it seems a little too late for a demo. Ah well, Rockstar has always liked its green ones.
