Another iPhone Leak - Apple's Fortress Of Solitude Is Withering Away

Proof that Apple’s fortress of solitude is crumbling couldn’t have come at a worse time. Gizmodo racked up the iPhone 4G reveal, with the next iPod leak following soon after that. Steve Jobs, honestly, couldn’t be more pissed.

Which is why, the next big leak from the Apple stables isn’t all that exciting. Let’s just say the fizz has run out, much like a college romance gone sideways. But we’ll cover it anyways, after all we owe it to ourselves to trip on the “I” generation.

Apparently American Beauty director Sam Mendes is in the process of putting together a series of commercials for Apple’s next iPhone, which is reportedly being referred to as the Mammoth / N90.

Somebody on the inside of the ad shoot has also confirmed that the ads will feature at least one spot where a mother and daughter are having a video chat conversation using the new front-facing camera that we’ve been lusting over at the two locales since Vietnam and Northern California happened. No, not the war(s). Don’t crush us Schwarzenegger.

A cursory search on Twitter by the livid folks over at Engadget revealed that there’s at least one actress who is up for a role in the “f***ing apple commercial” in New York, and another fellow who is auditioning for spots in California. This pretty much guarantees that the Apple iPhone 4G will have video chat and conferencing inbuilt into the phone, taking it a whole new level of utility for smartphone users.

June 7th is coming and we are pumped. Question is: How pissed off is Steve Jobs? One can wish Stephen Fry had done his interview with the man better .
